The Mill Race Club members often go out into the community,
This helps them integrate with the general public, and gives them the confidence required to venture out on their own, and enjoy more freedom.

Members enjoy visiting their local Hotel, the Lansdowne, where they enjoy a cup of tea or coffee. They are welcomed by staff and this will be a regular feature during Winter months.

Ryan climbing a style

In 2010 the Club started a walking Group which tries to use local rights of way where possible. On return to the Club paths and lanes are marked on a large scale map showing the extent of the walk. Will the Group cover the map? Wait and see!

Picture shows Ryan climbing one of the stiles.

The lantern parade at Christmas is a big event in Calne. Here two members carry their lanterns which in 2010 were made at the Calne hub. Image of members in the anual lantern parade

members at Avebury "in the rain" Members recently used public transport to visit Avebury. Although the weather was not very kind on this day, people still managed to enjoy themselves and walk round the stones.

The Club's Skittles League takes place twice a month at the Woodlands Social Club in Calne. This continues to be a popular activity and we are welcomed by staff at the Club who for a small cost provides a snack lunch. Everyone tries their hardest to be the individual winner of the day! bowling at the Woodlands club
